Lightweight Sport Rifle and Bench Rest Competitions
Spring 2016
The first season of lightweight sport rifle shooting has now concluded and we are able to congratulate the winners in the first competitions run this Spring season.
Entries for five competitions closed for the new LWSR leagues on January 30th. The competitions advertised were:–
- Semi-auto Precision Prone Unsupported
- Semi-auto Standing Unsupported
- Semi-auto Mixed Prone and Standing Unsupported
- Semi-auto Benchrest
- Bolt Action Benchrest
There were seven entries in each of competitions 1, 3 and 5 and six for competition 4. The Standing only competition had no entries.
Our congratulations go to the winners in each of the competitions, who were:–
- Semi-auto Mixed - D. Henry, Nottingham City R.C.
- Semi-auto Prone - A. Wilks, Old Nottinghamians R.C.
- Semi-auto Benchrest - A. Kwa, Langer R.C.
- Bolt Action Benchrest - R Robbins, Nottingham City R.C.

We do hope that all of the club members who shoot LWSR in the County will participate and encourage their club mates to have a go. Towards this end we welcome new entrants of all abilities and the assistance of club captains to act as officials within the clubs. Details of the Autumn season competitions will ready mid-August.
