The Nottinghamshire Rifle Association was established in 1861 to promote target shooting in the County and City of Nottingham and to encourage the formation of rifle and pistol clubs open to all to acquire skills in shooting and the safe use of firearms.
We cover Smallbore, Fullbore (including Vintage Arms) and Black Powder disciplines and are affiliated to the National Governing Bodies: the National Rifle Association (NRA), the National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) and the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain (MLAGB).
The Association works with its affiliated clubs to provide training, equipment and facilities to encourage new-comers to the sport. We also organise competitive shooting for club teams and individuals with medals and trophies for the winners.
Both Smallbore and Fullbore County Teams are selected from affiliated clubs and take part in Regional and National competitions.
The Nottinghamshire Rifle Association is a company limited by guarantee, number 726693. We are also a charity registered with the Charity Commission, charity number 209400.
